AAL Guidelines for Ethics, Data Privacy and Security
The AAL Programme has developed, with the support of external experts, some guidelines providing the community of companies, researcher and end users organizations with a model that integrates general law compliance with an ethical dialogue. It also provides reflections on how to set up ethical excellence for solutions targeting active and healthy ageing through digital technologies. Project coordinators and partners responsible for end users involvement, co-creation and test/pilot preparation are advised to go through these guidelines.
Ethics and Privacy issues are fundamental not only to demonstrate a high quality of R&D procedures in human – technology interactions, but also to guarantee that the findings and output of a project are sound, scalable, sellable and suitable for the market. This is even more important in international projects with different stakeholders involved in it.
