The DHWS2016 will bring together a wide selection of leading industries including: Telefónica, Roche, Tunstall, Samsung, Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson, IBM, Philips, Dell along with policy & decision-makers from the European Commission, ministries of health/social affairs from Estonia, Netherlands, Catalonia; BUPA Insurances group, Zurich insurances; along with leading patient groups and academics.Such event will take place in within the framework of the Mobile World Congress, the major world conference of mobile technology.
The AAL Programme will participate to this event as an exhibitor and in two speaking slots: Karina Marcus, the Director of the central office in Brussels, will address this audience on Tuesday 23 during the session “Collaboration of Regional Ecosystems & Impact Investing in a Smart Health Deal for Dementia Support@Home“. The focus of the session is on the following challenge: How can we build a better evidence base and business case together across Europe to prioritise and increase the use of proven smart health solutions that support the needs of people with Dementia living independently in different “dementia friendly” regions across Europe? (Special focus of interest is on the needs of people and their family who deal with mild cognitive impairment with a high risk of Dementia or coping with an early stage of Dementia; Immaculada Luengo, Head of R&D Department of HI Iberia and coordinator of several AAL projects, will be presenting the experience of her company in the section dedicated to “Innovation Showcasing Session”
