It is with great sadness that we would like to announce the passing of the AAL Association’s former President, Mr Peter Saraga, who passed away on 23 February 2023.

Mr Saraga became the first President of the AAL Advisory Board back 2008 and, later on in 2018 became the President of the AAL Executive Board. His contribution to the Programme has been invaluable and his professionalism, experience and compelling personality will be greatly missed.

The AAL Association, the Executive Board, the AAL Advisory Board members and the representatives of the European Commission would like to present their most sincere condolences to his family and friends.
